Improved Forest Management (IFM) for U.S. Timberlands

1.0

The Methodology for Improved Forest Management (IFM) for U.S. Timberlands details requirements for the quantification of GHG removals and emissions reductions on privately owned timberlands in the U.S.  The methodology is applicable to industrial timberlands over 1,000 acres where the improved forest management (IFM) project activity enhances sequestration relative to a baseline scenario representing the legally permissible harvest that would maximize net present value of perpetual wood products harvests using locally approved silvicultural prescriptions.
