American Carbon Registry Forest Carbon Project Standard

2.1

The ACR Forest Carbon Project Standard details requirements and specifications for the quantification, monitoring, and reporting of forest project-based greenhouse gas emissions reductions and removals, methodological acceptance, verification, registration, and issuance of offsets for trade in the global voluntary and U.S. pre-compliance carbon markets. Requirements are provided for Afforestation/Reforestation (AR), Improved Forest Management (IFM), and Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) projects.

The ACR Forest Carbon Project Standard v2.1 supersedes ACR Forest Carbon Project Standard v2.0 of the same document. Version 2.1 makes certain updates and clarifications for consistency with other ACR standards and methodologies. All essential requirements remain unchanged.
